About the trail

The Strada del Nizza crosses the Barbera hills, where vineyards alternate with villages nestled on the hills. The cycling tour connects the center of Nizza Monferrato with castles, small villages and the wooded landscape of Val Sarmassa.

What to look out for

Palazzo Crova accompanies the exit from the center towards the vineyards of Castel Boglione. The route reaches Calamandrana, dominated by the castle of the old village, then San Marzano Oliveto. Passing at the foot of Moasca you arrive at Piana del Salto, the connection point with the Strada del Moscato. The next hills lead to Agliano Terme and Castelnuovo Calcea. The complete tour continues towards Noche, a hamlet of Vinchio, and Vaglio Serra, passing the woods of Val Sarmassa before the return.
