Symbols
The coat of arms and gonfalone were granted by decree of the President of the Republic of 22 October 1987.[5]
The cross recalls the authority of the bishop of Asti on the village of Cellarengo, obtained with the diploma of Emperor Otto of 25 September 862. The figure of the ox represents the cattle farms, the wheat ears recall the main agricultural production of the territory.[7]
The gonfalone is a truncated drape of red and yellow.[8]
