About the trail

Gravel Meraviglia connects towns and countryside of Monferrato through an alternation of dirt roads and asphalt. The distance allows you to think of it as a long day or as a small trip in two parts, with breaks in the villages of the provinces of Alessandria and Asti.

What to look out for

Solero, Cerro Tanaro, Rocchetta Tanaro and Montalto Scarampi mark the passage between the Alessandria and the Astigiano. Dirt roads alternate with asphalt, with moderate gradients and long stretches in the countryside. Rocchetta Tanaro also offers the opportunity to get to know the territory of its natural park. Distance is the central element of the tour: connecting these centers in a single ride gives continuity to the journey, while dividing it into two days leaves more space for stops in the villages.
