About the trail
Four castles shape a 32 km ride in Alto Monferrato, linking Casaleggio Boiro, Lerma, Silvano d’Orba and Tagliolo through villages and valleys.
What to look out for
Casaleggio Boiro’s private castle stands on a knoll. At Lerma, the castle and fortified quarter overlook the Piota; Silvano d’Orba presents Castello Adorno’s four towers. A panoramic dirt road and the Piota bridge lead towards Tagliolo. Narrow lanes, stone walls and arches form the village around its castle.
