Gavi ( /ˈ,avi/ , pronounced [ˈ diaː(v)i] or [ˈːː(v)i] in Liguria, Gavi [ˈ,ɑv di] in Piedmont), in the past also known as Gavi Ligure, is an Italian municipality of 4 371 inhabitants of the province of Alessandria in Piemonte, located on the right of the Lemme stream to confluence with the Neirone rio . Just a few minutes from Novi Ligure, it is about 40 km from Alessandria, 60 km from Genoa and 140 km from Turin .
