Alta Val Bormida, Erro and Orba: stage 8 leads from Ponti to Ciglione via Castelletto d'Erro, Rifugio Banca, Ciglione. The steep exit from Ponti reaches the Castelletto d'Erro ridge. After the ford on the stream, you climb towards the Banca refuge and continue at altitude, among woods and farmhouses, up to Ciglione.
