Rocca Grimalda ( La Ròca Grimàuda in Piedmont, Ra Ròca locally; A Ròcca in Liguria) is an Italian municipality of 1 382 inhabitants of the province of Alessandria , in Piemonte , located in the Upper Monferrato , on a rocky spur to the left of the river Orba . It is one of the main municipalities of Ovadese, historical-cultural area of Oltregiogo/Oltregiovo Ligure and/or Genovesato, Basso Piemonte and the Monferrato, which takes its name from the city of Ovada .
