San Martino Alfieri (San Martin d'Ast in Piedmont) is an Italian municipality of 656 inhabitants of the province of Asti in Piemonte . It is located in Astesana, in the tourist area called "Le Colline dei Fiumi", on the Tanaro and Borbore watershed, in control of the important director of dorsal that combined Asti al Roero . Leaving the village, in the direction of Govone, you can enjoy an extraordinary landscape given by the 257 meters altitude of the ridge of the hill that runs parallel to the Tanaro. It gently sinks down to the valley, full of vegetation and large cultivated spaces. The road towards Antignano, with its strong panoramic and landscape value, has calm views where the presence of work in the fields and vineyards is always present, creating one of the cultural heritage of the area.
