Discovering Dusino San Michele
Dusino San Michele (Dusin in Piedmont) is an Italian municipality of 1 090 inhabitants[1] from the province of Asti in the Piemonte.
The Municipality is famous for the "km 41" (which is located on the Regional Road 10) sung by Giorgio Faletti at the Sanremo Festival of 1994 in the song Lieutenant.. Even today it is not unusual to find the "gazelles" of the Carabinieri of the Company Command on that stretch of road Villanova d'Asti, stopped to carry out road traffic control posts.
The "km 41" today recalls the sense of duty of honest men and represents a symbol of the fight against crime in all its forms.
On the morning of 21 April 2017, near the "km 41", a Carabinieri patrol turned out, risking its life, what could have been a road disaster. The two Military were subsequently awarded the Honorary Citizenship of the Municipality for demonstration of courage and their civic sense manifested in that fringe.
