The coat of arms and gonfalone of the municipality of Tonco were granted by decree of the President of the Republic of 21 October 2004.[5]
- Coat of arms
In the civic emblem are remembered the noble personalities and houses who ruled Tonco from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance[6]: the lion in the first partition almost certainly reproduces the blason of Gerard of Tonco, the first master of the Hospitallers of St. John of Jerusalem[7]; the other half of the shield resumes the three bands of red and cork oak symbols of Family Natta.
