About the trail
The loop of Terruggia begins in the greenery of Villa Poggio and widens between fields, meadows and vineyards. The streets of the town soon give way to the countryside, while the torre Veglio becomes a reference during the climb up the hills surrounding the town.
What to look out for
The park staircase leads to the town hall square; via San Martino, via Roma and via Cacciolo accompany the exit from Terruggia. After passing Rotte-Quilico, the route enters the cultivated fields and alternates descents with short ascents. Three oaks and an old pear tree characterize one of the country passages. We continue towards strada Cravetta, cascina Carena and il Roseto, before returning between vineyards and fields under the torre Veglio reference point. The cascina Pozzano area introduces the valley floor; the last climb takes you back to the town hall and the portal of Villa Adele-Poggio.

Start and practical details
We start from the park entrance of Villa Poggio and return through the park itself. The 9.39 kilometers require approximately three hours. The surface alternates asphalt, gravel roads and dirt roads; the return to the village includes a steep climb. To follow the numerous changes in direction it is useful to keep the track available.
