About the trail

The return from Cella Monte to Vignale is the longest stage of the Infernot circuit. It crosses Valle Ghenza, reaches Frassinello and passes below Castello di Lignano before climbing to Camagna and returning to the slopes that look towards Vignale Monferrato.

What to look out for

Leaving Cella Monte towards Rosignano, the route continues past cascina Cavalla into Valle Ghenza, an area associated with white truffles. Beyond cascina Bellero and Valisenda, it reaches Frassinello via the church of San Bernardo. The road then passes Castello di Lignano and crosses the Rotaldo stream. Another climb leads towards Sant'Andrea and Camagna. In piazza Lenti, the large nineteenth-century dome draws the eye, while the home of the Lenti brothers stands on the opposite side. Fields and valley paths lead into the final climb back to Vignale.
