About the trail
Moncalvo is discovered by walking from the squares in the center to the vineyards of the nearby hills. The Truffle Trail makes up a loop in which urban history gives way to farmhouses, small churches and country roads, before the climb back towards the village.
What to look out for
Piazza Carlo Alberto already offers two reasons to stop: the climb to Belvedere Bonaventura and the facade of the former synagogue under the arcades. Piazza Garibaldi and Via Cissello accompany the exit from the centre, while the panoramic avenue opens up the view towards Crea. Outside the town you come to San Pietro, called La Pieve, then you walk among vineyards and farmhouses up to Cascina Orsolina. The passage from San Rocco precedes the fields and reeds of the second part. From Strada Pozzetta, the return climbs towards San Francesco and finds the central streets of Moncalvo.
