About the trail

This stage of the Superga-Vezzolano-Crea journey crosses the Casale Monferrato area up to the sanctuary. The landscape includes villages, cultivated ridges and stretches of woodland, with the Castello di Pessine and the stone dedicated to Cesare Triveri marking two characteristic passages along the route.

What to look out for

From Bric Mestiola you descend towards Murisengo and reach Cascina Zucca. The road continues to Villadeati, then goes around Bric Tribecco and heads towards Rondaneto. The passage through the woods precedes the cultivated ridges and the Castello di Pessine. Following the ridge you come across the stone of Cesare Triveri, creator of the path, before the ruins of Cascina Carpignano. The route continues on the slopes of Monte Croce and alternates new descents and ascents among trees and vineyards. Ponzano introduces the final part on the way to the Santuario di Crea.
