About the trail
Treville appears from above, from the small square of Sant’Ambrogio overlooking Val Cerrina. The loop then descends into the countryside, where vineyards, a Romanesque church and traces of ancient agricultural work precede the return to the town through the Bric della Croce panoramic point.
What to look out for
The first descent crosses some streets of Treville and reaches San Quirico between fields and rows. The route continues towards Crosietta and the valley floor, passing near the basins once used for retting hemp. The next forest, with horsetails, introduces a more humid environment. Over a small bridge, follow the stream up to the buildings of the old Fonte Sulfurea. From here a country road returns to the town. The ascent meets Bric della Croce and San Giacomo before the staircase that leads back to Sant’Ambrogio.
