About the trail
The Santuario di Crea is both the starting point and the horizon of this loop around the Bric Castelvelli. The route alternates between the chapels of the Sacro Monte, small villages and woods, allowing you to observe the relief from different sides before returning to the square.
What to look out for
From the sanctuary the tree-lined avenue opens up a view of Val Cerrina. At the third chapel you leave the upper path to descend into the woods towards Forneglio. Beyond the small church of the hamlet, the path goes back to Serralunga di Crea, where sections of the ancient walls remain. Once out of the village, wander around Bric Castelvelli among chestnut and oak trees, with butcher's broom and hawthorn in the undergrowth. A meadow offers a new view of Monte di Crea. Vineyards and small woods accompany the passage from Cascina Cavallo and Cascina Zenavrea, before the return road.

Start and practical details
You can reach the Crea square by car; the journey begins in front of the sanctuary. It's 7.47 kilometers and approximately two hours. The surface alternates path, dirt road and asphalt, including the final on the SP19. In the stretch around Bric Castelvelli there are reports of fallen trees and vegetation that may restrict passage.
