About the trail
From Santuario di Crea to Po, this long stage passes through hills, villages and places of industrial memory. The arrival at Casale Monferrato is gradual: first the countryside, then the Parco Eternot and finally the walk along the river, up to Piazza Castello.
What to look out for
The descent from the sanctuary reaches Forneglio and continues towards Serralunga. Beyond Madonnina, the route goes up into the countryside of Cereseto, of which the town and castle can be observed. San Quirico marks a passage over the ridge, with Treville in the background; vineyards and orchards then accompany the arrival at Ozzano. At Lavello the landscape changes, among the buildings of the old cement factories. The path touches Rolasco, where San Michele remembers the miners, and descends towards Casale Monferrato. The Parco Eternot introduces the last stretch on the banks of the Po.
