About the trail

The Barbera Route explores the hills of Agliano Terme by connecting parts of five local loops. The vineyards are the dominant landscape, interrupted by cherry trees, hazelnut groves and small inhabited areas; the ridges offer different perspectives on the town and the surrounding valleys.

What to look out for

The tour reaches Vianoce, where it meets the red route, then descends between the villages to connect to the blue route. The climb towards Bricco Roche alternates hazelnut groves, vineyards and woods. In the Scorrone area we change itinerary again, continuing towards Spéssa and Bansella. Other sections on the ridges precede the descent and final ascent to Agliano Terme, through via Donato Aluffi. The network of loops also allows you to choose shorter exits, each with its own color.

Start and practical details

The complete tour starts from Piazza Roma, with parking: 13 kilometers, approximately four and a half hours and 400 meters of climbing distributed. Asphalt and dirt road alternate with grassy tracks. It is not entirely passable with a stroller: from Scorrone there is a return on asphalt via Regione Crena.
