About the trail
Asti is discovered through a sequence of squares, towers and alleys that preserves the shape of the medieval city. The walk connects the most recognizable monuments to porticoes and small intimate spaces, with Roman traces and museums along the way.
What to look out for
From Mercato Coperto you reach Piazza Statuto and Torre Guttuari, then Piazza San Secondo with the Collegiate Church and the town hall. Corso Alfieri lines up palaces and museums, including Palazzo Mazzetti, before the Torre Rossa of Roman origin. The streets in the center lead to Cattedrale and Torre Trojana. An extension reaches the San Pietro in Consavia complex; returning towards Piazza Alfieri, the Parco della Resistenza offers the green passage that closes the tour.

Start and practical details
The departure is at the Piazza Campo del Palio car park. The route measures 3.8 kilometres, approximately an hour and a half without visits, on urban paving and with a negligible difference in altitude. There are fountains and play areas; tickets, museum opening times and climbing the towers require separate verification.
