About the trail

From Monastero Bormida, the path climbs towards Bricco del Moro, progressively leaving the river behind. The medieval bridge and the ancient monastery complex open the itinerary, while woods, vineyards and meadows accompany the views of the hills of the valley.

What to look out for

The passage of Puntet introduces the center and the tower connected to the monastery by an elevated bridge. After crossing the bridge over Bormida di Millesimo, continue towards San Rocco and then leave the road for Tatorba. The climb through bushland and vineyards offers glimpses of Monastero Bormida. Higher up, the ridge alternates between scattered houses and chestnut trees; a pasture opens the view towards Bubbio. Near Bricco del Moro, the meadows beyond the viewing panel are the destination of the walk.

Start and practical details

Departure from the Viale Indipendenza car park, near the sports facilities. The one-way journey measures 3.5 kilometres, about an hour and a half, with 250 meters of climbing. The surface alternates asphalt, dirt road and path. The return follows the same route; the route partly uses the 5T signs, but leaves them in the final stretch.
