About the trail
A truffle forest transformed into a quiet space hosts this short walk near San Martino Alfieri. Among trees, artificial nests and small installations, the path leads to a small clearing and then to a giant bench overlooking the landscape.
What to look out for
The colorful gnomes at the entrance introduce the planted forest. The paths are lined with folding information panels dedicated to birds, trees and the relationship with truffles. The descent reaches a clearing with seats made from the trunks, designed as a silence area. The trail continues with ups and downs to the edge of the wood and Big Bench, from which Monviso is visible when the air is clear. A different path through the trees leads back to the start.

Start and practical details
We start from the car park along the SP8, about 1.7 kilometers from San Martino Alfieri in the direction of Asti. The loop measures 1.5 kilometres, with 80 meters of climbing and about thirty-five minutes of walking. The surface is grassy and some short sections are steep; the colored arrows guide the return to the car park.
