SymbolsExplore this chapter
Coazzolo was already inhabited in Roman times and had the name of Coatolium. At the end of 1200 the town, already belonging to the diocese of Alba, was occupied by the astesis who infeuded him to the Cacherano family. Later he passed to Casa Savoia that on 14 April 1577 defended the territory, Philip I d'Este[4]. At the beginning of the twentieth century it was a hamlet of Castagnole delle Lanze.
Symbols
The coat of arms and gonfalone of the municipality of Coazzolo were granted by decree of the President of the Republic of 31 May 1999.[5]
The gonfalone is a rectangular white drape.
