Discovering Loazzolo

Loazzolo (Loasseu in Piedmont) is an Italian municipality of 293 inhabitants[1] from the province of Asti in the Piemonte. Situated in the hills that take the name of Langhe Astigiane, it overlooks the lower Bormida Valley since the municipal territory is crossed by the river Bormida di Millesimo, near Quartino.
The territorial extension is one of the largest in the province of Asti and at altitude the municipality varies from 200 m asl. by Frazione Quartino at 612 m a.s.l. Santa Libera Region. For this reason it is listed in the list of mountain municipalities in the province of Asti.

Symbols
The coat of arms of the municipality of Loazzolo was granted by royal decree of 2 December 1937 and depicts a rural landscape in which they appear a river flowing between two banks and a wolf placed on the first floor and facing the horizon, with reference to the ancient name of the country Lupatiolum ("place where wolves roam"). The municipal banner, granted by decree of the President of the Republic of 30 May 1953, is a blue and green banner.[4]
